Mike Perry likely silenced many of critics tonight, as ‘Platinum’ worked his way to an impressive win over Mickey Gall at UFC Vegas 4.

Round one

Perry came out pressuring and Gall moved laterally. Perry fired in a couple of big hooks that missed. Perry landed a front kick and moments later, Gall pounded in a kick to the body. Perry clinched up and in the ensuing exchange, he was cut above the left eye. Gall tagged Perry with a right but the latter ate it. Perry chucked a huge right and Gall fired back.

Gall continued to throw straight punches but late in the round, Perry clinched up and slammed the welterweight. Perry threatened with an arm-triangle-choke but Gall defended (he also grabbed the fence).

Round two

Perry came out pressuring again but ate a left early on. Gall tried taking it down via a single-leg but Perry defended, and then took the fight down. Perry tried landing some shots from above, but was forced to work out from an armbar attempt. Gall used a kimura to sweep and the fight returned to the feet.

Gall started working a down takedown but Perry defended. Gall scored with a right late in the frame, and with about 20 seconds left, Perry sent Gall to the deck with a huge right. Perry fired in an elbow from above but the horn went.

Round three

Perry scored with some heavy punches not long into round three, and he continued to move forward. Perry planted a hard right and Gall fired back with an elbow. Gall looked the more fatigued of the two. Gall spun with a strike, but Perry countered and pushed him to the fence.

The fight went to the floor and Perry moved into the crucifix position temporarily. Gall worked his way out, but Perry moved into mount and fired down shots from above. Gall threatened with a triangle-choke late, but Perry escaped.

Should be a win for Perry. ‘Platinum’ was awarded the decision win.
