Charles Jourdain tagged Andre Fili with some big shots during their entertaining fight, but the latter’s striking and wrestling ultimately delivered him the win.

Round one

Jourdain came with a couple of hard body kicks and punches early, but Fili countered nicely with a hard left. Both featherweights continued to wing punches and kicks. Jourdain missed with a kick and Fili responded with tongue wag, taunt.

Jourdain bombed in more kicks that hit Fili’s arm, which was visibly red. Late into the round, Jourdain sent Fili to the deck with a massive straight left, but he quickly popped back up. Fili also stayed busy with kicks. Wiht moments late in the round, Fili took Jourdain down, but the latter worked his way up and out. Great round

Round two

Fili threatened with a head kick moments into round two. Jourdain planted a hard leg kick moments later. Jourdain scored with a right but Fili continued to move forward. More leg kicks from Jourdain. Fili started to tag Jourdain with some jabs and straights fighting out of the southpaw position. Once again, late in the round, Fili took Jourdain down. Jourdain quickly got back to his feet.

Round three

Fili pressured once again in round three and fired a big headkick that Jourdain blocked. Jourdain continued to dig to the body and arm of Fili with kicks of his own. Jourdain tagged Fili with a hard straight left but Fili ate it. Fili scored to the body with a right. A couple of minutes in, Fili took Jourdain with a nicely timed takedown. Jourdain worked his way back up after some scrambling on the floor. Jourdain planted a nice right late in the frame. Fili shot in again but this time Jourdain defended the TD attempt. But, moments later, Fili successfully took Jourdain to the mat. Fili landed some shots from above before the final horn went. Great fight.

Fili emerges with the split decision win.
