UFC On ESPN: Eye Vs. Calvillo Live Blog Coverage, Results

Welcome to our live, ongoing blog with results for Saturday night’s UFC on ESPN: Eye vs. Calvillo event, also known as UFC Vegas 2.

The card marks the second in as many weeks from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas as the promotion continues to return from the coronavirus pandemic.

In the main event, top flyweight contender Jessica Eye takes on Cynthia Calvillo live on ESPN and ESPN+.

During weigh-ins on Friday, Eye missed the 126-pound mark for the non-title fight, coming in a quarter-of-a-pound heavy. She showed quite a bit of trouble even stepping on the scale, but the bout will move ahead as planned at a catchweight.

Also, Karl Roberson missed weight, coming in almost five pounds over for his co-main event bout with Marvin Vettori. Zarrukh Adashev missed weight, as well, but he will still compete.

One fight between Darrick Minner and Jordan Griffin was pulled due to unspecified health issues even before weigh-ins took place.

Initially, the fight card was expected to take place in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan and the Astana Arena for what would have been the first time the UFC made a visit to the country. That all was scrapped due to COVID-19.

The event begins at 7 p.m. ET live on ESPN and ESPN+, and we will be providing an ongoing live blog of the action along with quick results, which you can view below.
