Ellen DeGeneres George Floyd video

Just days ago, liberal trolls hammered daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for a tweet in response to George Floyd’s death that she has since deleted. In a new video, a teary-eyed Ellen shares  her feelings and how she intended her initial response.

Ellen DeGeneres Breaks Down In Tears

In her new video, Ellen is visibly emotional as she said she was “sad and angry” over the death of Floyd, who died in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota last week.

“I haven’t spoken directly because I don’t know what to say. I am so sad, and I am so angry,” DeGeneres said. “I know I’m not going to say the right thing, I know there are going to be a lot of people who are in disagreement with what I say, but I have a platform and I have a voice and I have always stood for equality.”

“I’ve always wanted to be the voice for people who felt like they didn’t have a voice, because I know what that feels like,” she continued. “Maybe you don’t agree with how it’s coming out, but you have to understand it, and then we can heal it.”

“I’m just so sorry that it’s come to this,” DeGeneres added. “I really don’t know what to say other than this has gone on way, way, way too long. People have got away with murder. That’s what’s happening. We’ve got to see fairness and justice for all, because right now this is not a fair world, not at all.”

Ellen DeGeneres Hit With Backlash For George Floyd Tweet

This came three days after Ellen deleted her initial response to Floyd’s death on Saturday. The tweet was met with swift outrage which obviously did not sit well with the popular daytime host.

“Like so many of you, I am angry and I am sad. People of colour in this country have faced injustice for far too long,” DeGeneres tweeted at the time, according to The Independent. “For things to change, things must change. We must commit ourselves to this change with conviction and with love.”

Though Ellen’s tweet was not as ‘tone deaf’ some other Hollywood celebrities, PC-obsessed liberals still found reasons to be “outraged” over it.

Some slammed her for referring to black people as “people of colour”, while others said her tweet was “vague and saying nothing.”

Never Back Down

Ellen never should have catered to the radical left by deleting her initial tweet. These hyper PC liberals are never going to be satisfied with anything she did.

What happened to George Floyd was wrong and tragic. Ellen made that clear in her first tweet.

It’s unfortunate that she let radical leftists trolls convince her that her feelings on this subject were not valid. Or that her voice did not have a place in the discussion.

Collectively we cannot let PC radicals control every aspect of our lives. Which is precisely what will happen if we continue to cater to their every whim.
