Last week, we reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were living in the $18 million mansion of Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry in an exclusive area of Beverly Hills, California. Now, Harry and Meghan are taking extreme steps for privacy.
Daily Mail reported that in the wake of their location leaking, Harry and Meghan have now erected big black screens around the home.
Construction started on Saturday. The same day Los Angeles County allowed some hiking trails to reopen as they relax coronavirus lockdown measures.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Put Up Privacy Screens
One of the trails that reopened was the popular Beverly Drive – Franklin Canyon Connector Trail. An elevated portion of that trail offers views of the property on which Harry and Meghan are staying.
It was likely this specific trail that led the privacy-obsessed couple to put up the black screens.

Perry’s mansion is located in the exclusive gated community of Beverly Ridge Estates. The posh neighborhood is surrounded by an area that includes a steep hill that gives locals hiking or walking their dogs the best view onto the property.

However, the mansion is also elevated by 800 feet and surrounded by security cameras. This means that nobody would actually be able to get too close to the property without being spotted by Meghan and Harry’s security team.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Wanted To Keep Their Location Secret
One source close to the couple said that they had tried very hard to keep the location of the mansion a secret after they moved their from Vancouver, Canada last month.
“Meghan and Harry have been extremely cautious to keep their base in LA under wraps. Their team helped them choose the location for their transition to Los Angeles wisely,” the source said.
“Beverly Ridge has its own guarded gate and Tyler’s property has a gate of its own which is watched by their security team. Beverly Ridge is an excellent place to keep out of view. The neighbors are mostly old money and mega rich business types rather than show business gossips.
“It goes without saying that the location is stunning — just one of the most beautiful and desirable areas in LA,” the source added.
Searching For A Mansion Of Their Own
It is believed that Meghan and Harry will not be staying at the mansion permanently. And, instead, that the couple will stay there only until they can find their own home in the area.
Meghan grew up in the Los Angeles area and has tons of friends there from her years working as an actress in Hollywood. So this is a homecoming for her of sorts.
Meanwhile, Harry is thousands of miles away from everything he knows and loves.
It remains to be seen how this move to Hollywood will work out for them.
