Drew Dober Makes His Case For Spot In UFC’s Top-15

Drew Dober has risen through the ranks, and now, he will likely find a number next to his name when the next series of rankings are released.

Dober, a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter, scored a second round TKO victory over Alexander Hernandez at UFC on ESPN+: Smith vs. Teixeira Wednesday night.

The 31-year-old from Omaha has now won three in a row, and all three of them have come via finish.

“More times you touch a guy in the chin the more chances they have to fall over,” Dober said. “I had to make up some of the round because he’s a strong man.”

Dober, who is 23-9 with a no-contest overall, has won nine times inside the Octagon. He is 6-1 over his last seven with the lone loss coming to Beneil Dariush.

A teammate of new interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, Dober kept the momentum going forward for Elevation Fight Team with the performance.

Dober took advantage of the opportunity, calling out Paul Felder, who was calling the action at Octagon-side. Felder acknowledged the call-out, saying he has watched Dober and it makes since.

“I want to see another striker,” Dober said. “I’m in here to bleed and die for everyone else.”
