Both Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje have signed to meet for the interim UFC lightweight title at UFC 249.
Where they face off, though, remains a mystery.
UFC president Dana White confirmed via social media that the two will square off on Saturday, April 18 at UFC 249 for the belt. The bout will air live on ESPN+ pay-per-view, but no location has been locked in – or at least not announced yet.
“The fight is signed and is 100% ON LIVE on ESPN somewhere on EARTH!!!!,” White posted on Instagram.
Ferguson was scheduled to meet Khabib Nurmagomedov for the title the same weekend, but Nurmagomedov is currently in Russia and unable to leave the country.
White has been pushing to hold the event despite major sports around the world pausing or completely canceling their respective seasons. The UFC held an event late in March, and the WWE aired WrestleMania 36 this past weekend via tape-delay.
