Hulk Hogan bonds with Rusev over bicep injury

Hulk Hogan suffered an injury during training this week which he revealed the news on social media pointing to another wrestler, Rusev, who has had similar injuries. The two shared a bonding moment.

Hulk Hogan Suffers A Torn Bicep

Over the years, Hulk Hogan has torn his biceps multiple times. Despite not being an active wrestler but still training, he has now torn his right bicep in another place. He revealed the injury on social media and referred to Rusev, who also suffered a similar injury.

The image below shows off Hogan’s new look as well — he’s sporting a full beard rather than his iconic handlebar mustache and five o’clock shadow.

Rusev suffered a significant proximal bicep tendon rupture in 2015. The injury happened during a match with Neville, now known as Pac, and saw the WWE superstar on the injured bench for a significant time. So, now you understand the reference.

Evidently, Rusev responded to Hulk Hogan with an apt reference to his real American gimmick. Rusev was in the news recently after he gave $20k to WWE employees affected by the Coronavirus crisis. What can I say, we live for this stuff!

Hulk Hogan Finally Settled His Lawsuit

Hulk Hogan's lawsuit

In other recent news, Hulk Hogan settled his lawsuit against Cox Radio DJs Mike ‘Cowhead’ Calta and Matt ‘Spiceboy’ Loyd. As the story is not very PG, we will try to give you the most PG version possible.

Hulk Hogan alleged that radio DJs Mike Calta and Matt Loyd leaked a sextape involving him in 2007 to benefit during their radio wars. The release would lead to countless lawsuits over the years, including one against the woman in the video and her husband.

One of Hulk Hogan’s friends, Todd Alan Clem, married a woman named  Heather in 2007. In 2012, reports came that a sextape existed involving Heather and Hulk Hogan. Interestingly, the entire thing was supposedly filmed by Hogan’s friend Clem, who was heard saying “if we ever need to retire, this is our ticket.”

In October of 2012, Hogan filed a lawsuit against Heather and Clem, which was later settled. The Hulkster would also file against Gawker Media, the company who leaked the tape originally. Hogan was awarded $140 million in 2016. Gawker would contest the decision and the amount was eventually reduced to $31 million.

But the legal efforts continued with Hogan taking on Mike Calta and Matt Loyd, who he believed were responsible for leaking the tape in the first place. The actual trial was supposed to take place in 2021, but has now been settled. Hulk Hogan has been awarded a whopping $110 million.

Why Is Hogan Getting These Huge Amounts?

Hulk Hogan New Look

Hogan’s privacy was affected, but that’s not the only thing. At the time of the leak, it had serious repercussions for Hogan’s career. Rumors started to float around that Hogan was a racist, leading to more stories that would see him fired from the WWE. So, Hogan could have argued that he lost substantial income as a consequence.

Despite being in the WWE’s bad books for a while, The Hulkster managed to salvage what was left of his career after all the events. Nevertheless, his racist language will have a permanent effect on his legacy.
