Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson have had five, fights booked now to date, four of which have fallen through. So, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that some issues between the lightweight stars have developed, which was evident at Friday’s UFC 249 presser.

Khabib kick’s Tony’s interim belt off the stage

Ferguson is scheduled to face the lightweight champ at UFC 249, which will go down on April 18th in Brooklyn, New York. In advance of Saturday’s UFC 248 card in Vegas, the promotion held a presser to promote the upcoming bout.

Well, Ferguson came out firing verbal shots right out of the gate, and as the presser wore on, it was clear Khabib was losing patience with “El Cucuy”. When it was time to faceoff for cameras, Ferguson put his interim belt down, and wanted the champ to do the same. As you can see in the clip below, Nurmagomedov wasn’t having any of it.
