Country Music Star John Rich Calls On Employers To Help Workers Through Coronavirus Crisis

Country music star John Rich defended the working American this week by challenging employers to keep paying their workers through the coronavirus pandemic as a growing number of businesses continue to close. John Rich himself has pledged to not only pay his Redneck Riviera restaurant employees but also livestream their weekly performers so the public can Venmo tips.

John Rich Pledges To Pay Redneck Riviera Restaurant Employees Through Crisis

Last Sunday, Nashville Mayor John Cooper attempted to slow the spread of the virus by closing bars and greatly limiting the number of people allowed in restaurants, which hit the Nashville dining scene hard.

This impacted Rich greatly, as he owns “Redneck Riviera Bar & BBQ” right in the heart of the Tennessee city.

“Me and my partners… had a meeting hours after they shut our bars down and said, ‘You know, it’s going to hurt our bottom line, but really to us, people are the bottom line,” Rich told “Fox & Friends” on Friday.

Two days before, Rich told the The Tennessean that he has pledged to continue paying his workers through this crisis.

“I would even go so far as to challenge other business owners on Broadway in my entertainment bar/nightclub sector, to reach into your pocket and take care of your people,” he said.

Redneck Riviera To Livestream Performances

John Rich doubled down on this during his “Fox & Friends” interview today.

“We have moms, dads, veterans, active duty that work at Redneck Riviera,” he said. “We decided to make the commitment that no matter what, we are going to make sure that those folks are taken care of, and that’s exactly what we did.”

The 46-year-old country artists’s restaurant has announced plans to livestream performances of their scheduled performers, allowing the public to tip the musicians through a Venmo link on their Facebook page.

Rich also talked about legislation in Washington D.C. that would support employers by providing incentives to continue paying employees through a drastic business downturn.

“This country is tough, this country works hard, this country plays hard, this country sticks together,” he said. “We love our families, our military, we love our Constitution, and, at times like this, I hope that our Democrats and Republicans can get together and come up with something that works.”

John Rich’s New Fox Nation Show

This comes as Rich is hosting the new Fox Nation series “The Pursuit,” in which he interviews Americans who he feels personify the constitutional right to pursue happiness.

“The whole idea for this show… is the Constitution does not guarantee us happiness,” said Rich in a recent episode of the show.

“It guarantees us the right to pursue happiness. It’s what we call the American dream. You know why we call it the American dream? Because it is limitless and we all have a right to it.”

Once again, Rich is reminding us that he is a true patriot who has the best interests of his fellow Americans at heart.

We need more people like John Rich in the entertainment world!

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
