Chilling Video Shows Gang Of Kids Brutally Assault 15 Year-Old Girl, Steal Her Shoes On Sidewalk

The New York Police Department (NYPD) released a disturbing video that shows a gang of teenagers brutally assaulting a 15 year-old girl in broad daylight on a Brooklyn sidewalk Thursday. The group beats the victim before stealing the shoes off her feet. The NYPD is looking for the public’s assistance to identify and locate the girl’s assailants.

Gang Assault Captured On Video

Defense Maven reports that the assault occurred at around 4pm March 5th on Utica Avenue near Sterling Place in Crown Heights. The vicious attack was captured on a nearby surveillance camera.

Police said afterwards that the suspects chased the unnamed victim down and shoved her to the ground before jumping on top of her and kicking her repeatedly.

Once the group was finished assaulting the teenager, the gang stole her tennis shoes off her feet and made off with her cell phone and debit card.

The victim was unconscious by the end of the attack, and she was rushed to the hospital for treatment after suffering bruising and swelling on her face.

The horrifying video footage shows around a dozen teenage boys and at least one girl chasing the victim down and circling her during the assault. Police have released the footage in the hopes of tracking down the attackers so that they can be brought to justice.

“OUTRAGE:this is sickening video of a 15 year old girl viciously attacked by a group of school children. One young man takes the sneakers right off the unconscious victim’s feet. The teenager is in the hospital recovering. We CAN NOT allow this behavior in our community #Speakup,” NYPD Assistant Chief Jeffrey Maddrey tweeted as he released the video.

NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan also shared video of the attack, writing, “The victim of this despicable gang assault in #Brooklyn is 15-years-old. We will never tolerate this violence in our city. @NYPDDetectives need the help of every New Yorker so they can arrest those responsible. We’re asking anyone with info to contact @NYPDTips at #800577TIPS.”

It’s both horrifying and terrifying to witness this behavior. What has this world come to? That an attack this violent could be carried out by a group so young in age.
