Hollywood actress Busy Philipps is being met with some serious backlash this week after she spoke out to praise abortion and credit all of her success to her having had one as a teen girl.
Busy Philipps Speaks At Abortion Rally
Fox News reported that Philipps was speaking at a rally held by the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) outside the Supreme Court as the justices heard a case regarding a Louisiana law that requires doctors at abortion clinics to have admitting privileges at local hospitals.
Philipps talked about how she reacted when she allegedly heard that a 14 year-old girl in Ohio was “being denied abortion services,” going on to argue that “strangers and their own personal beliefs were going to keep this little girl from living the life she was dreaming of. Smug politicians were controlling a 14-year-old girl’s body and future.”
She then practically shouted her own experience having an abortion at 15 to the crowd.
“Here I was sitting in Los Angeles in my beautiful office of my own late-night talk show,” the “Cougar Town” actress recalled. “Soon, I would be driving my hybrid car to my beautiful f—–g home, to kiss my two beautiful and healthy children and my husband who had taken the year off to parent so I could focus on my career.”
“And I have all of this,” Philipps screamed, “all of it, because because I was allowed bodily autonomy at 15.”

Philipps Hit With Backlash
Backlash against Philipps has been swift, with the pro-life group Live Action President Lila Rose saying, “[O]ur freedom and happiness can never be bought with the blood of our children.”
Much of the backlash against Phillips has come on social media. Conservative commentator Mark Dice wrote sarcastically, “she must be fun at parties.”

Trolls even changed Philipps’ Wikipedia page to state that she has “2 1/2” children instead of just two. It’s assumed that the “1/2” refers to the baby that Phillips aborted as a teenager.

Young Mothers Have Found Great Success In Life
One social media user even pointed out to Philipps’ that other women like Aretha Franklin have become mothers at young ages and still found success in life.

This is a good point. It’s ridiculous that Philipps would argue that it would have been impossible for her to be successful as a teenage mother when countless women have been able to do just that.
In the end, the real tragedy here is that Busy Philipps is a Hollywood celebrity glorifying abortion to her young fans.
Abortion is definitely not something that should be publicly praised. Or used as a badge of honor by someone like Philipps as a way to describe how she found success in life. We’re already seeing teen girls on a dangerous path thanks to this type of destructive abortion role modeling.
