Ricky Gervais Blasts Oscars – Calls Out Hollywood Hypocrisy On ‘Equality’

Before the Academy Awards last night, comedian Ricky Gervais took to Twitter to viciously troll liberal Hollywood stars.

When Gervais was asked what his first joke would be if he was hosting the Oscars, he responded, “I can’t wait to hear all your inspirational speeches about equality, and it’s great that the 3 hours you’re here tonight is the only time your badly paid migrant house staff will get some time off to sleep this week.”

Gervais Trolls Hollywood Again

Ricky Gervais then added that another joke he would make would be one that mocks the sex scandals that have engulfed Hollywood.

“It’s great to see such diversity in the room tonight. Rich sex pests of all shapes and sizes,” Gervais tweeted.

This comes one month after 58-year-old English comedian and actor hosted the Golden Globes. Where he brutally roasted the self-involved celebrities in attendance.

“If you win, come up, accept your little award tonight… thank your agent and your God, and fuck off. No one cares about your views on politics or culture,” he said at the time, according to Breitbart News.

Gervais did not discriminate as he targeted elitist hypocrisy – calling out the liberal celebrities for their relationships to large corporations like Apple, Amazon and Disney.

In the end, Gervais stood tall against the backlash. Taking an old school stance – his comedy is equal opportunity and won’t pussyfoot around certain topics. Or hesitate to fire back at the Twitter hate mob.

Oscar Ratings Are Down

The Oscars did not have a host last night for the second year in a row. After the Kevin Hart scandal involving old tweets that far left liberals deemed offensive, the comedian and actor stepped down as host in 2019.

Ratings for the Oscars have also been on the decline since 2014, when the show garnered 43.7 million viewers. In 2018, only 26.5 million tuned into the show.

The lack of ratings for the Oscars just goes to show that Americans are tired of being lectured about leftwing politics by liberal stars who have no idea what they’re talking about.

It was incredibly refreshing to see Gervais call out Hollywood celebrities on their hypocrisy at the Golden Globes, so we’re glad that he was able to get his digs in before the Academy Awards as well.
