The injury report is a packed one for the WWE at the moment, but one superstar could soon be coming off of it.
Jinder Mahal posted a video on Instagram declaring that he is fit to workout and train once again. That could mean a potential return in the coming future for “The Modern Day Maharaja.”
The 33-year-old former WWE champion has been sidelined with a knee injury.
“Be back soon,” Mahal said. “Who’s going to try the hang clean high pull? The Experiment is back on.”
Along with his title run, Mahal has also held the WWE United States champion and is a two-time former WWE 24/7 champion.
Last April, Mahal was shifted to SmackDown as part of the Superstar Shake-up. He was injured in June, but was drafted back to Raw during the 2019 draft.
Part of Mahal’s WWE title reign included a SummerSlam victory over Shinsuke Nakamura another successful title defense over Nakamura at Hell in a Cell. He was supposed to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at Survivor Series, but before making that bout, Mahal lost his belt to AJ Syles, ending his 170-day reign.
Mahal received a rematch with Styles at Clash of Champions, but lost via submission.
During an interview he was giving, Triple H made an off-the-cuff remark that Paige “might have children she doesn’t know about.”
Needless to say, the comments caught a bit of a firestorm for the former WWE champion and executive, and Paige has since reached out to let her feelings on the “joke” be made public.
“Obviously, I was a little bit perplexed, a little bit taken back,” Paige said during an interview with Gary Cassidy (thanks to Ringside News for the quotes). “He’s someone that I truly look up to and he’s always been very respectful.
“So, I feel like he got caught up maybe in a joke, but I just don’t think it was appropriate to joke about. Again, it’s not something that I’m going to continually keep talking about.”
One of those that came to the defense of Paige was Nikki Bella. Because she used social media to express her anger over Triple H’s comment.
“We will never see the true change in equality if we just see them as storylines,” she wrote. “Change in a company starts from the top. Our leaders help set the example.
“For us women we need all the help we can get. Help with respect from our co-workers and fans. We are all one. One love.”
