In recent weeks it’s become pretty clear that tensions are rising between Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman, and that trend definitely continued today at a Super Bowl event the fighters attended.

Masvidal and Usman have heated exchange

The fighters were both on hand for Super Bowl LIV’s Radio Row at the Miami Convention Center in Florida on Wednesday. As you can see by watching the clips below, Masvidal and the welterweight champ didn’t have many nice things to say to each other at the event (warning: graphic language).

The latest in a series of exchanges

A few months ago, Masvidal and Usman didn’t seem to have any issues. Not publicly anyway. But, since Masvidal moved into the title shot pole position with his win over Nate Diaz in November, the two have been trading verbal jabs. Especially since Usman responded to some questions about Masvidal by pretending he didn’t know who “Gamebred” is (Usman has since explained why he did that). The comments, however, didn’t sit too well with Masvidal.

Masvidal has been calling for a fight with Conor McGregor. But, recently he said that if all things were equal, in terms of pay, he’d rather fight Usman as a result of their growing rivalry.
