WWE veteran The Undertaker has been spotted at the performance center, causing all kinds of speculation. In other news, it appears Rocky Johnson was ill for quite some time before his death.
WWE Veteran The Undertaker Visits The Performance Center
According to PWInsider, Taker was reviewing NXT from this week and provided various superstars on the brand with feedback. While this may seem like a straightforward reason for his visit, fans believe there could be more to it.
The timing of Taker’s visit could have something to do with the Royal Rumble. Some fans speculate it could mean Taker will be entering himself, but I believe we may see some call-ups. Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Shayna Baszler, and Adam Cole are all serious possibilities. Maybe Taker was there to give them some pointers?
I don’t believe the speculation that Taker will enter the rumble is accurate at all. His appearances are usually favors for the WWE, and I don’t think that he is needed in the rumble, especially with rumors about Edge and CM Punk returning. That being said, I’ve been wrong before!
Rocky Johnson Had Been Ill For Some Time
While the death of Rocky Johnson rocked the wrestling world this week, it would appear that the former wrestler had been sick for quite some time. Rocky unfortunately passed away this week at the age of 75.
According to Brian Blair, Johnson had been rather poorly for a couple of weeks.
“He had been sick a couple of weeks and thought he caught the flu. I told him to go do the doctor or the hospital after he had it for a week.”
As we know now, Rocky did not end up going to the doctor and passed away on Wednesday. At the time of this article, the cause of Johnson’s death is unknown.
Since his passing, his son Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has paid tribute to his father. This is an excerpt of what The 47-year-old wrestler and Black Adam actor wrote the following on his instagram.
“Dad, I wish I had one more shot to tell you, I love you, before you crossed over to the other side. But you were ripped away from me so fast without warning. Gone in an instant and no coming back. I’m in pain. But we both know it’s just pain and it’ll pass.”
“Now I’ll carry your mana and work ethic with me, as it’s time to move on because I have my family to feed and work to accomplish. Finally, I want you to rest your trailblazing soul, Soulman. Pain free, regret free, satisfied and at ease.”
At this moment in time, we would like to send our condolences to the Johnson family. Rocky’s passing was sudden, but his personality and his legacy will never be forgotten.
