It is not popular among Hollywood elite to support the police, but longtime actor Lou Ferrigno is not someone who follows along. “The Incredible Hulk” actor leads by example. Not only does he support our police officers, he is one and will soon be sworn in as a sheriff’s deputy.
Eight years ago, Ferrigno joined forces with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office. Now, he’s preparing to be sworn in as a sheriff’s deputy in New Mexico as well. On January 16th, the 68-year-old actor and bodybuilder will be sworn in as by Socorro County Sheriff William Armijo.
San Luis Obispo County officials say that Ferrigno will bring lot of experience to the department and will prove useful in recruiting for the Sheriff’s department as people will want to work with The Hulk!
This is a family affair for Ferrigno as his father was a lieutenant with the New York Police Department. Then the actor became a reserve deputy for Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department in 2006.

Six years later, he was sworn in as a reserve deputy for San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office. He also has been affiliated with Maricopa County as a volunteer sheriff.
“When you’re part of this department, it’s about trust,” Ferrigno said as he was sworn in at San Luis Obispo County. “It’s not like I’m getting a free badge. I’m a certified police officer.”
Ferrigno is best known as the Incredible Hulk where his bodybuilding came in handy as the destructive superhero. But, he also did a sting on Celebrity Apprentice.
Not only does the actor differ with Tinseltown over his support of police officers, but he also is a supporter of President Donald Trump.
