Demetrious Johnson

Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson already has one big shiny gold ONE Championship belt.

In April, he’ll have the opportunity to score another.

“Mighty Mouse” will challenge Adriano Moraes for the ONE flyweight title on April 11, the promotion announced.

Johnson captured the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix title late in 2019, scoring a victory over Danny Kingad in the finals. He also bested Yuya Wakamatsu and Tatsumitsu Wada in the event.

Overall, Johnson is 30-3-1 and held the UFC belt through a record-breaking number of title defenses. He lost it in 2018 to Henry Cejudo – his only defeat in his last 18 fights.

Moraes moved back into the role of ONE flyweight champion when he bested Geje Eustaquio via decision last January. He owns a record of 18-3 overall, with all three defeats coming via split decision.

ONE Championship: Reign of Dynasties takes place April 11 from Chongqing in China. The Moraes vs. Johnson bout is the only one announced as of this time.
