UFC Raleigh: Curtis Blaydes vs. Junior dos Santos – Check Out The Card’s New, Official Poster

Now that we know Frankie Edgar and Cory Sandhagen are officially, no longer fighting at UFC Raleigh, the promotion’s shared out the card’s official poster.

Curtis Blaydes vs. Junior dos Santos

In the headliner of the upcoming, January 25th event, former heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos will battle Curtis Blaydes. Dos Santos (21-6) will be looking to get back on track, as he was quickly taken out by Francis Ngannou in June. Prior to that, “Cigano” had won three in a row.

Blaydes (12-2), meanwhile, finished Shamil Abdurakhimov in his last outing, which went down in September. The powerful wrestler has gone 4-1 in his last five contests (with the defeat coming against Ngannou).

UFC Raleigh was originally, supposed to also feature Edgar’s bantamweight debut against Sandhagen. But, because Edgar was taken out by Chan Sung Jung at UFC Busan earlier this month, that fight is off.

The new co-headliner will be the welterweight scrap between Michael Chiesa (16-5) and former lightweight champ, Rafael dos Anjos (30-12). Chiesa has defeated Carlos Condit and Diego Sanchez after moving up to 170, while RDA is looking to get back on track, after dropping a decision loss to Leon Edwards in July.
