On paper, there is plenty to like about the upcoming bout between Dan Hooker and Paul Felder, and there was some intensity at the card’s recent media day.
The lightweight contenders were recently booked to fight in the headliner of UFC Auckland, which will go down on February 22nd in the New Zealand city. As you can see by watching the clip below, Hooker and Felder had a lengthy and intense faceoff for cameras.
Felder (17-4) will be looking to build on consecutive victories he’s recorded over James Vick and Edson Barboza, after he dropped a split decision to welterweight Mike Perry last July.
Hooker (19-8), on the other hand, has recorded wins over Al Iaquinta and Vick, since he was stopped by Barboza last December.
As it stands right now, Felder is ranked #6 in the UFC’s lightweight division and Hooker is #7. That’s a fight you don’t want to miss.
