With the victory, Magomedsharipov moved his UFC record to 6-0, and according to the 28-year-old, he believes that run qualifies him for a title shot.
Well, following UFC Moscow, Magomedsharipov has moved up one spot in the UFC’s 145 rankings to #4. Former lightweight champ, and longtime featherweight contender Frankie Edgar, dropped a position to #5.
Another mover following UFC Moscow was Alexander Volkov, who has gone from #7 to #6 in the UFC’s heavyweight division. Volkov faced Greg Hardy at the event and recorded a decision win. Volkov is actually tied with Alistair Overeem, as both heavyweights are ranked #6.
Overeem is booked to fight Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC Washington D.C. on December 7th.
