Jorge Masvidal ‘Knows’ Conor McGregor Doesn’t Want Fight

Jorge Masvidal laid claim to the “BMF” title at UFC 244, besting Nate Diaz. Now, what is next for Masvidal?

Immediately following his stoppage victory from Madison Square Garden, Conor McGregor made it known that he would like to test “Gamebred.”

But Masvidal doesn’t believe it.

“I’ll (expletive) that little guy up,” Masvidal said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “He’s a (expletive) midget. Dana White, president of this (expletive) company said I’m too much man for him. I get it why people want to see him hurt for the stunts he’s been pulling, but he don’t want this shit.”

Masvidal has scored consecutive knockouts over Diaz, Ben Askren and Darren Till.

“He’s just talking to get his name out there,” he added of McGregor. “he was cheering for Nate. He wanted to run it back with Nate.

“He don’t want this shit. You know he doesn’t want this shit. Dana and them might try to promote it, (but) I don’t even think Dana is going to promote that fight, because you can’t get that guy to sign a paper.”

McGregor and Diaz had two battles in 2016, with Diaz winning the first and McGregor the rematch. The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov for the title late last year.

It has been reported that McGregor is targeting January 18 for a return. Donald Cerrone has been rumored as an opponent, but that has yet to be finalized.

McGregor also had something to say about the title created and won by Masvidal. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson presented Masvidal with the title.

President Donald Trump was also in attendance for the event in Madison Square Garden. Trump posted a message to Masvidal on social media after the fight.
