SCU Makes History As First-Ever AEW Tag Champions

AEW

The team of Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian made history on AEW Dynamite, becoming the first-ever All Elite Wrestling tag team champions.

The duo, known as SCU, topped Pentagon Jr. and Fenix to secure the titles in a tournament final. They had previously bested Best Friends and Dark Order.

Sky picked up the pin fall, using an inside cradle on Pentagon for the victory.

Kazarian said becoming the first tag teams champions “will never, ever be lost on me.” He dedicated the match to Killer Kowalski and his family.

This is the second tag team title run for Scorpio Sky and Kazarian, as the two were also Ring of Honor champions together. They also held the six-man tag titles in ROH with Christopher Daniels.

Rock ‘N Roll Express Attacked By Santana, Ortiz

Rock 'N Roll Express

All Elite Wrestling brought in WWE Hall of Famers Rock ‘N Roll Express to present the first-ever tag team titles to the winners of the tournament finale. However, the duo did not make it to that part of the show.

While conducting an interview, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson were attacked by Santana and Ortiz. The duo put Morton through a portion of the stage.

Morton and Gibson were four-time NWA tag team champions and were involved in a legendary feud with the Four Horsemen. In 2017, Jim Cornette, inducted the two into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Santana and Ortiz continued to flex their muscle during AEW: Dynamite, attacking The Young Bucks after their match while in Halloween costumes.
