As it turns out, Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t the only person who took steps to make Conor McGregor pay for comments he’s made about the lightweight champ’s native Dagestan.
Leading up to McGregor’s submission loss to Nurmagomedov last October at UFC 229, he made controversial comments about the fighter’s native Dagestan and his culture. Apparently, McGregor also made negative comments about Dagestan in recent days as well.
Well, this week McGregor’s been doing a promotional tour for a sponsor, and as you can see by watching the video below, a Dagestani citizen took object to the comments.
Water bottle dodging aside, recently McGregor announced that he’s going to be fighting next on January 18th. While the star didn’t announce an opponent, it’s been reported that Donald Cerrone is the front runner.
