Vince McMahon’s Original Hell In A Cell Finish, WWE Draft Rules

Vince McMahon’s Plan For Hell In A Cell Finish

Hell in a Cell left fans and even WWE superstars not happy with the conclusion. The referee stopped the main event after Seth Rollins smashed a sledgehammer across the face of ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt due to the safety of the competitor.

Apparently, that was not the original booking decision. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned how Vince McMahon did not want Wyatt to be pinned or submitted, so he had a different vision. McMahon wanted Wyatt to take a bump off the top of the Cell and then the referee would call for the bell.

For whatever reason, McMahon somewhat changed his mind, but fans still have been upset about the ending of Hell in a Cell. There’s no word if the Rollins-Wyatt feud will continue as ‘The Fiend’ is currently dealing with an injury.

WWE Draft Rules

The WWE Draft returns later tonight and we are learning some rules and changes from previous years. More than 70 superstars will be eligible with some celebrities also being tossed into the mix.

SmackDown will get two picks each round with RAW getting three since they have an extra hour of TV to fill. RAW’s Seth Rollins battles SmackDown’s Roman Reigns tonight, with the winner giving that brand the first pick.

WWE has announced several athletes and celebrities that will partake in the Draft. Tag teams and stables can be considered individual picks, but the duos can be split if Fox or the USA Network only wants some of the superstars. Anyone who is not drafted will be considered a free agent and then they can chose their brand.

Celebrities announced include: Saturday Night Live’s Michael Che and Colin Jost, former NFL star Troy Aikman, former MLB star Alex Rodriguez, actor Christian Slater and many more.

The WWE Draft begins tonight on SmackDown from Las Vegas and continues this Monday on RAW out of Denver.
