Sources close to "Fuller House" actress Lori Loughlin say she and husband Mossimo Giannulli are dealing with their looming trial in very different ways.

Those close to “Fuller House” actress Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli say the couple are each dealing with the college admissions scandal and their upcoming trial in very different ways.

While Giannulli seems to be living in a state of carefree “denial”, sources indicate the pressure is getting to Loughlin. The actress is struggling as her trial gets closer and closer.

Loughlin And Giannulli Demeanor

Fox News reported that a source said that Loughlin and Giannulli are still frequent visitors at the Bel Air Country Club in California, but their respective demeanors each tell a very different story.

“Lori and Moss are reacting and handling the scandal completely differently,” the source told US Magazine. “Moss is in good spirits and continues to socialize as if nothing’s wrong — either he’s in complete denial or it’s a front that he’s mastered so nobody judges him.”

Though Giannulli is able to play it cool in public, Loughlin seems to be withdrawing into herself as she tries to fly under the radar.

“Lori has started wearing large hats and scarves to avoid people noticing her,” the source added. “She doesn’t wait around to see anyone, and when she plays golf, she tees off from the fourth hole to avoid being spotted by members inside the clubhouse.”

Loughlin Faces Harsher Punishment At Trial

This comes as new reports came out indicating that Loughlin has every reason to be worried about her future.

Andrew Lelling, the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts, spoke out this week to warn that Loughlin will likely be given a much harsher sentence than her fellow defendant Felicity Huffman, who was sentenced to just 14 days behind bars after pleading guilty and taking responsibility for her actions.

Not only has Loughlin not taken responsibility for her actions, she is also facing more charges than Huffman because her crimes are seen as more severe.

“We will probably ask for a higher sentence for [Loughlin] than we did for Felicity Huffman,” Lelling said. “I can’t tell you what that would be.”

Loughlin and Giannulli are facing numerous charges. The charges allege the couple paid $500,000 in bribe money to the University of Southern California. Their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli, were admitted to the university as members of the crew team. Despite neither girl ever having rowed before. If convicted, Loughlin and Giannulli face 40 years in prison each.

Friends Say Loughlin Is Terrified Of What’s To Come

Sources also say that since Felicity Huffman received jail time, Lori Loughlin has become even more fearful about what will happen to her at trial.

“Lori has kept a close eye on Felicity throughout the case and after hearing her 14-day sentence, she’s been incredibly panicked,” a source close to Loughlin told Entertainment Tonight. “She can’t help thinking, if Felicity received real prison time, what could that mean for her?”

“Lori didn’t believe Felicity should have pleaded guilty but now watching her situation play out, she’s been in fear of what’s to come for her,” the source continued. “Right now, her friends fear the prosecution wants to make an example out of her, not only for the crime she’s been accused of, but her not guilty plea.”
