Dominick Reyes has been pushing hard for a title fight with Jon Jones, after taking out Chris Weidman at UFC Boston. But, not only does Jon Jones not sound very interested, the 205 king has relayed he’s looking at super fights….

Reyes calls out Jones

Reyes faced Weidman in the headliner of UFC Boston on Friday, and he put away the former middleweight champ in the opening round. Since Reyes has gone 12-0 to date, and because he’s ranked #4 in the light-heavyweight division, there’s been a lot of talk about him fighting Jones next. The 29-year-old has also been pushing for a title shot.

But, while talking with fans on Twitter recently, Jones had this to say about a fight with Reyes:

Really not sure when I’ll be fighting next, feel like I have nothing to gain by beating Dominic. I’ve actually felt that way about my last two opponents. I want a super fight

Had a chip on my shoulder against Gus. Fighting Smith Santos Dominic??? I’m having a hard time even talking shit to this last dude. They all say the same lame shit.. I want a fight to be excited about

Jones vs. Ngannou?

So, since Jones has talked about moving to heavyweight off-and-on over the years, a super fight would very likely take place in that weight class. Someone asked Jones about the possibility of him facing Francis Ngannou, and the 205 champ said this:

I feel like that fight is inevitable

How about that? Could we see Jones and Ngannou sooner than later? You would think that if Jones did move up to heavyweight, he would do so with the heavyweight title on the line. The champ Stipe Miocic is expected to face Daniel Cormier in a rubber match next. But, Jones’ comment here is eyebrow raising, nonetheless.

Jones also asked where all the “big names” in the light-heavyweight division have gone. While it’s true Jones has already defeated most of the perennial contenders, Johnny Walker has also been generating a ton of buzz (and is set to fight Corey Anderson on November 2nd). Aleksandar Rakic could also be knocking on the title shot door if he gets by Volkan Oezdemir on December 21st.
