Mark Madsen had a lot of hype heading into UFC Copenhagen today, and the Danish wrestler lived up to the hype and then some, by quickly taking out Danilo Belluardo.

Round one

Madsen charged in not long into the fight and pushed Belluardo to the fence. Belluardo squashed Madsen’s first takedown attempt, but the decorated wrestler scored with his second. Madsen fired in punches from above and mixed in some nasty elbows as well. Belluardo wasn’t doing much, other than covering up, and the fight was called. Impressive debut for the Olympic Silver Medalist wrestler.

With the win, Madsen moved his MMA record to 9-0.
