The fighters have already hit the scales in Abu Dhabi in preparation for UFC 242 tomorrow, and the championship main event fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier has been green lit.

Nurmagomedov vs. Poirier

Saturday’s headliner will see the lightweight champ Nurmagomedov return to the cage for the first time since 2018, for a bout with interim champ, Poirier. Both lightweights came in at 155 pounds for the contest.

Nurmagomedov (27-0) will be fighting for the first time since last October, when he submitted Conor McGregor.

Poirier (25-5), meanwhile, secured the interim title in April by outscoring Max Holloway.
