Dan Hardy and John Gooden are back to get us points in the right direction towards Saturday’s UFC 242 main event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier.
The two square off to crown the unified champion in the lightweight division live on ESPN+ pay-per-view from The Arena, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Nurmagomedov, the unbeaten champion of the division, is coming off a successful title defense over Conor McGregor last year. He was suspended for his part in a post-fight incident that involved McGregor and members from both team camps, but is now ready and focused on fighting again.
Poirier would go on to claim the interim title in his absence, topping reigning UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway this year via decision. Related: Dustin Poirier Not Worried About Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Takedowns Heading Into UFC 242 Title Fight
