Renee Young Leaving RAW

Renee Young Possibly Leaving RAW As Fox Officials Want Her On SmackDown

Renee Young is very popular with the WWE and the same can be said for Fox officials. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Renee is set for a larger on role on TV as SmackDown switches networks next month.

She is currently set to host a new weekly studio show on FS1 that will air on Tuesday nights. No word if that show will debut the same night SmackDown switches over to Fox. The show has been described as similar to UFC Tonight.

As for Reneeā€™s future at the announce table, that could change. Currently, she works on RAW alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves. In doing so, she became the first female to work the commentary table for an entire episode of RAW. With WWE looking to make their commentary teams exclusive to RAW, SmackDown and NXT, Renee could be switching teams as Fox is high on her and she could up calling the blue brand.

Renee has made huge strides for women in WWE since joining the company. It looks like her push will continue now that Fox and WWE have a major deal in place.

Changes Coming To NXT

NXT is set for a major change come September 18, as they switch from the WWE Network to the USA Network. Not only will the brand air live, but the show will be increased to two hours. The big change has to do with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debuting on TNT in early October on the same night as NXT.

During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted how the show will be much more scripted once they make the move in less than two weeks. Before, most of the NXT promos were not scripted outside of the action inside the ring. With an extra hour being added, that means more promos.

AEW will be going a different route as they give their talent just bull points. Many people have criticized WWE for their promos being scripted word-for-word and it will be interesting to see the results AEW gets from their talent.
