Jessica Andrade’s reign as the UFC’s strawweight champ turned out to be a brief one, as Weili Zhang quickly took her out today at UFC Shenzhen.
Zhang was tapped for today’s title fight after going 3-0 to begin her UFC run. Since today’s event took place in Shenzhen, China, it was the perfect platform for the Chinese fighter.
Well, as you can see by watching the clips below, Zhang stormed through Andrade with a series of knees, punches and elbows. By doing so, she became the first Chinese champion in UFC history.
Andrade meanwhile, was competing for the first time since May, when she won the strawweight title by knocking out Rose Namajunas.
