Bi Nguyen was a rambunctious child who grew up as the youngest in a family of nine, first in Vietnam before immigrating to California.

Now, several years later, Nguyen gets the chance to return to her native home and compete for ONE Championship at ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH in September.

The “Killer Bee” is a product of the famed Jackson-Wink MMA gym in New Mexico. She will take on India’s Puja Tomar in an atomweight Muay Thai bout. Nguyen is 5-4 overall in mixed martial arts including a win this past April over Dwi Ani Retno Wulan at ONE: ROOTS OF HONOR via first round knockout. For Nguyen, competing in combat sports serves as an outlet to help her deal with the loss of her father. Through tragedy, though, she has been able to motivate herself through his passing.

ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH marks the debut for the promotion in Vietnam with Nong-O Gaiyanghadao defending his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title against Brice Delval in the main event. The card takes place from Ho Chi Minh City.

Nong-O has looked imperious since he arrived on the global stage in April 2018.

The Thai hero has put together a perfect 4-0 slate in ONE Super Series, which improved the Evolve representative’s record to 259-54-1 overall.

Most recently, he soundly defeated Japan’s Hiroaki Suzuki by unanimous decision win in his first World Title defense back in May.

His opponent, Delval, is a 20-year-old from France who trains alongside ONE’s Elias Mahmoudi at the Mahmoudi Gym in Bonneuil-sur-Mame. He is an S1 World Champion who has competed all across the globe, and now, he looks to claim the biggest prize of his career.

In the co-main event for the night, Saemapetch Fairtex takes on Rafi Bohic with other bouts seeing Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat facing off against Azwan Che Wil, and Nguyen Thanh Tung battling Shahzaib Rindh in Vietnamese Super Series bouts.

Other bouts include Anderson Silva vs. Beybulat Isaev, a Russian WMC champion, Chris Nguyen vs. Yukinori Ogasawara, Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy vs. Joseph Lasiri, Singtongnoi Por Telakun vs. Kohei “Momotaro” Kodera, Santino Verbeek vs. Juan Cervantes and Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai vs. Bobo Sacko.
