Jon Jones and Colby Covington once shared the same wrestling room and dorm at a community college in Iowa.
However, the two have little to no love for one another.
Jones, the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, and Covington, who scored a key victory over Robbie Lawler Saturday at UFC Newark, claimed NJCAA wrestling titles while competing for Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, Iowa. A third roommate was Joe Soto, who also previously fought for the UFC.
After Covington’s win over Lawler, Jones sent out a message via Twitter:
