Yes. We’ve all seen fights that were stopped because a fighter had a cut or cuts that were too large, and the doctor steps in. But, at CW 106, referee Marc Goddard decided that it was unsafe to let the fight continue, due to how much blood there was on the canvas, and how safe the surface had become. The fight was ruled a no-contest.

After the gory fight, the welterweight champ Houston and interim champ Dalby shared a beer as cameras looked on.
