Jorge Masvidal needed to score an emphatic, jaw-dropping win at UFC 239 in order to secure a title shot, and “Gamebred” may have done just that.
For his highly anticipated bout with Ben Askren, Masvidal charged out of the gates with a flying knee that blasted the decorated wrestler to the head as he changed levels. “Gamebred” landed a couple of shots after the fact but Askren was already out. The fight lasted just five seconds to make it the fast knockout in UFC history.
Askren was out for some time, but thankfully he was able to walk out of the cage with some assistance.
