Smackdown Live (7/2/2019): 8 pm EST
Show opens up and Kevin Owens comes out to the ring for an edition of the Kevin Owens Show carrying cue-cards in his hand. His guests tonight are Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre, who will face Roman Reigns and The Undertaker in a tag match at Extreme Rules. Shane wasn’t crazy about Owens’ introduction, so he gets Greg Hamilton to belt out a proper one. Then Owens shows a clip of Taker showing up on Raw last night with a message for Shane and McIntyre. Shane mocks the clip, saying “Ohhhh spooky!” Owens asks if Shane is afraid and Shane says of course he’s not.
Can you guys keep a secret?

He also adds that the tag match at Extreme Rules will be a No Holds Barred match. McIntyre says that everyone knows what he and Shane can do in a regular match, so imagine what they’ll do in No Holds Barred. Shane says about McIntyre, “Now that’s spooky!” Owens says he wants to show a specific part of that clip, and he shows how Shane and McIntyre ducked out of the ring with looks of fear on their faces. Owens explains that he doesn’t want people to get the wrong idea and think they’re actually scared of the Undertaker. That’s not what that is, he says.

Owens sarcastically explains the looks of fear as being nothing more than looks of true readiness, and Shane picks up on the sarcasm. Shane asks what Owens thinks he’s doing? He says “Just do as you’re told and read the cards like we agreed upon.” Then, Dolph Ziggler comes out and Owens loses it and tells Ziggler to beat it. He refuses to listen to any more of Ziggler’s whining about how it “should have been him.” Owens says he wants a title shot too and asks Shane who deserves it more. Shane says neither.
"YOU'RE NOT GONNA COME OUT HERE AND TALK ABOUT HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU… IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU 8 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS, KINDA, THEN IT WASN'T, AND IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN, JUST GET OVER IT! – @FightOwensFight to @HEELZiggler on #SDLive pic.twitter.com/h8e7J0zJxv

But Shane does have an idea. He says Owens and Ziggler will team up tonight in a tag match against Heavy Machinery. The winning team will get added to the Tag Team Championship match at Extreme Rules, making it a Triple Threat.
Will @HEELZiggler & @FightOwensFight be able to get on the same page tonight? #SDLive 😬😬 pic.twitter.com/mqweDT451t

Nikki Cross will be the host of tonight’s A Moment Of Bliss, at Bliss’ insistence. Her guest tonight is Smackdown Women’s Champ Bayley. Bayley tries to convince Cross about how deceitful Bliss is, but Cross defends Bliss, saying that’s not the Alexa she knows. Bayley asks why Cross isn’t the one with the title shot after beating her, and Carmella as well, when Bliss could not. Cross says she doesn’t know, but she wants to face Bayley in the ring right now. Bayley accepts the challenge.
"Why am I facing @AlexaBliss_WWE at #ExtremeRules when I should be facing you?"
@NikkiCrossWWE CAN'T answer that question, but she CAN challenge #SDLive #WomensChampion @itsBayleyWWE to a match RIGHT NOW! pic.twitter.com/jmFEZ0m1ws

WWE Champ Kofi Kingston comes out to the ring for a face-off with No. 1 Contender Samoa Joe. It begins with Joe dismissing the interviewer so she doesn’t end up as collateral damage in the discussion. Joe then points out to Kofi how he just displayed an act of compassion. Joe says Kofi plays the nice guy but he knows that he’s really just using all these people. Kofi says all his latest accomplishments were achieved on his very own. Then he asks what Samoa Joe has done lately, beside losing the United States Title to Ricochet.

Kofi asks what happened to the old Samoa Joe. The old Joe would have taken on all comers head on. Now Joe creeps around and ambushes people. Joe says Kofi always has an answer. But at WrestleMania he brought in his whole family and told his son to go up on the ropes, wearing his new merch, so he could peddle it to all the mindless fans. Kofi says Joe is just jealous because he’ll never have a moment like he had at WrestleMania to share with his kids. Joe says is Kofi shakes his hand right now, all his friends and loved ones will be safe up until their match.

But is Kofi doesn’t shake, everyone he knows is in danger. Kofi thinks it over and feigns like he’s about to shake. Then he sticks up his middle finger and Joe flips out. The crowd cheers as Kofi nails a charging Joe with a Trouble In Paradise.
