ONE Championship’s “Dawn of Heroes” is going down this Friday in Manila, and the card will feature former UFC champs Eddie Alvarez and Demetrious Johnson.
Alvarez (29-7) will battle former lightweight champ Eduard Folayang (21-7). The bout will serve as a semifinal for ONE’s lightweight grand prix, since the man who initially eliminated Alvarez from the competition this past March, Timofey Nastyukhin, has dropped out due to injury.
Johnson (28-3-1), meanwhile, is set to face Tatsumitsu Wada (21-10-2) in a semifinal bout of the flyweight grand prix. Johnson won his quarterfinal bout this past March, by submitting Yuya Wakamatsu.
