– WWE might put most of the attention on RAW and SmackDown, but the NXT brand seems to always deliver a better product. At first there was NXT and eventually NXT UK was introduced. Now, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that there is talk of introducing a third NXT brand.
NXT Canada is now in the mix and it would see Santino Marella have a major role; much like how William Regal works as the general manager of the original NXT. WWE will be holding tryouts at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada from August 7 to 9. That will be a busy few days for WWE as they have Takeover Toronto II and and SummerSlam as well.
In the past, WWE has brought talent to the Performance Center in Florida as they search for new names.
– Back at Extreme Rules, Daniel Bryan & Rowan dropped the SmackDown Tag Team Championships in a triple threat match to New Day’s Big E & Xavier Woods. In a post match interview, Bryan told fans he would be making a career altering announcement on SmackDown. That episode passed and several others with no sight of Bryan.
Post Wrestling noted how WWE does have a new storyline ready for Bryan, but there was some sort of miscommunication. Bryan is currently on a vacation with his wife, Brie Bella. On Instagram, Brie has posted pictures of the two hiking in Washington State.
We will have to wait and see when Bryan returns to TV, but it could be as early as this Tuesday. Or, even Monday with the wild card rule. Some have speculated that Bryan will be back as a face and there are also reports that he could be headed to 205 Live, which does seem like a stretch; but, it would probably help the cruiserweights garner a larger audience.
