Chick-fil-A Employee Caught Praying Over Customer in Between Chores

Chick-fil-A is always finding new ways to impress us. Not only do they have the best chicken sandwiches around, but they also have superior Customer Service that makes you feel like you are a member of their family or church.

They serve up their meals with a lot of compassion and goodwill. Many of us have witnessed this while munching on our waffle fries, but Brittany Calden saw something extraordinary that needs to be shared.

Chick-fil-A Employee Prayer With Customer

While eating at the Madison, Alabama Chick-fil-A, Calden watched as employee Stephen Spray was wiping down tables. Then, he put his duties on pause to do something extraordinary. While speaking to a customer, Spray put his hand on her shoulder and closed his eyes. He then began to pray for her. Calden, who is a photographer, was so impressed that she had to capture this moment.

“As a photographer, it was instinctual for me to document this moment,” Calden said. “I find myself always searching for things that move me, and this was one of those instances.”

When asked about the prayer, the kind Chick-fil-A employee told the photographer, “Spirit led him to pray for her.”

Calden posted the photo on Facebook where it is getting attention by people of faith and Chick-fil-A fans. The inspiring post can be viewed below.

When asked by local media about his prayerful encounter, Spray reported that this is not an uncommon occurrence at this Chick-fil-A.

“That’s not unusual,” the employee said. “I work at a place where if I’m led to pray for someone, I’m able to do that and I’ll do it right on the spot. People need prayer, encouragement, and love. That’s what we try to do here.”

How rare and wonderful that a business that is very much in the public eye encourages prayer from its employees. There is a reason that Chick-fil-A sells so many chicken sandwiches even while being closed every Sunday. Their employees care and we need a lot more of that in this world.
