Smackdown Live (6/11/2019): 8 pm EST

The Miz comes out for an edition of Miz TV. Miz says he’s been told to “follow the script” tonight. He pulls out a slip of paper and reads off of it verbatim. His guest tonight is Roman Reigns’ opponent at Stomping Grounds, Drew McIntyre. He also introduces Shane McMahon and pretends that he is having trouble reading the card, calling him the “Pest of the world” instead of “Best in the world”. Shane and McIntyre come out, with Elias as well. First thing Shane does is get ring announcer Greg Hamilton to properly belt out a “Best in the world” introduction for him.

Then, Shane gets Elias to play a little tune because Miz is lacking in musical talent on his show, he says. Miz ends up berating Shane and his compatriots for riding high on false success. Shane says “Potato, Pototo”. Miz also trash talks McIntyre and tells him that it’s a shame he’s been reduced to being Shane’s lackey. Miz tells McIntyre that Shane will use him and drop him, just like he did with Miz after they became tag team champions together. Shane cuts in and says Miz clearly has some things to work out still between them.

Maybe, Shane says, Miz and he should have another match. But first, Miz will have to defeat McIntyre and then Elias. If he can beat both of them, he’ll get to face Shane later tonight.

Singles Match: The Miz vs. Elias

Miz plants Elias with a SKull-Crushing Finale for the 3-count.

Winner: The Miz

Singles Match: The Miz vs. Drew McIntyre

McIntyre connects with a Claymore Kick for the victory.

As Miz is laid out in the ring, Shane says Miz was right. They should have their match right now.

Singles Match: Shane McMahon vs. The Miz

Shane takes advantage of the already beat up Miz and goes to work. Miz valiantly tries to get in it but his efforts are in vain and Shane ultimately chokes him out with a Triangle.

Smackdown Tag Champs Daniel Bryan & Rowan come out to face some local jobbers. However, Heavy Machinery comes out and claims that the champs are ducking their challenge. Bryan says they haven’t earned an opportunity yet. But they could earn that shot by facing the local jobbers. Heavy Machinery accepts.

24/7 champ R-Truth is telling Carmella about how holding that title is ruining his life… but he can’t let it go. They hear someone coming and Carmella urges him to hide in an equipment case. Once the coast is clear, Mella realizes the case is locked and she has to go have a match right that moment. She promises to return and leaves Truth inside the case. Truth is banging and yelling from inside as Jinder Mahal walks by. Jinder pretends to be Carmella and says he’ll go get a crowbar to pry it open for him.

Alexa Bliss shows Nikki Cross some hurtful things on her phone that Smackdown Women’s Champ Bayley said about her. Bliss tells a visibly-perturbed Cross that she secured her a match against Bayley tonight. She tells Cross to remember what Bayley said and to not hold back during their match.

New Day cuts a promo and Dolph Ziggler comes out and shows a clip of how Kofi only won last Friday because Xavier Woods interfered. Ziggler says it should have been him, and it would have been! If not for Woods! At Stomping Grounds they will be in a steel cage and such shenanigans will not happen. Kofi replies that Ziggler had kicked Woods earlier that night, so it was only natural that he retaliate. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn come out and Zayn says that the crowd clearly has no morals or ethical code. They cheer over Woods interfering in the match and costing Ziggler the title.

Zayn says he, Owens and Ziggler are there to right these wrongs tonight. They always relish an opportunity to beat up New Day. New Day laughs about how Zayn got beat up as the special referee last night and Zayn says, again, the crowd is showing their hypocrisy as they cheer over something like that. If anyone else had been wearing that striped shirt, there would have been suspensions. There would have been punishment. Kofi gyrates his hips, says he’s “WWE champion”.

Singles Match: Smackdown Women’s Champ Bayley vs. Nikki Cross (with Alexa Bliss)

Bayley delivers a flying elbow drop from the top rope for the 3-count. She looks right at Bliss at ringside as the ref hits the mat.
