Pauley Perrette

Fans of the long-running CBS television show “NCIS” are in shock right now after actress Pauley Perrette revealed that she will never come back to the series because she is “terrified” of costar Mark Harmon, who allegedly assaulted her.

Fox News reported that Perrette dropped this bomb in a tweet she posted last Friday morning.

“NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?)” Perrette wrote. “I am terrified of Harmon and him attacking me. I have nightmares about it. I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You’ll love it!”

Perrette had previously hinted that abuse was a factor in her decision to leave the popular show, but she had refused to go into detail until now. One source told TMZ that Perrette is now claiming that Harmon “bodychecked” her onset back in 2017 as revenge after she asked that his dog no longer be allowed onset. She made this request after the dog allegedly bit a crew member, injuring the unnamed individual so badly that he had to get sixteen stitches.

“You think I didn’t expect blow back? You got me wrong,” the actress added hours later in a tweet that has since been deleted. “THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew! And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!?and I lost my job.”

Though Perrette and Harmon have both refused to comment on these reports, CBS released a brief statement alluding to the incident when the actress departed the show last year.

“Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on ‘NCIS’ and we are all going to miss her,” CBS said. “Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”

Perrette responded with a tweet praising CBS, indicating that she does not blame the network for what went down.

“I want to thank my studio and network CBS They have always been so good to me and always had my back,” she tweeted.

This serves as a reminder that television shows have their own sets of issues and problems just like any other workplace.

It’s hard to know what to think about this situation until more details come to light, but hopefully, Perrette and anyone else who was hurt by this will be okay.

If Harmon did indeed assault Perrette, CBS must take action to ensure that he is punished accordingly and that this does not happen again.
