Chances are when you think about Nate Diaz, his thrilling submission win over Conor McGregor comes to mind. But, recently the UFC shared out a promo vid in advance of Diaz’s return, and there’s no footage of that win (tip of the hat to MMA Mania for pointing this out).

Diaz faced McGregor back in 2016, and proceeded to tap the star out with a second round, rear-naked-choke. Due to how massive a fight that was, it was very likely the biggest win of Diaz’s career to date. It’s unquestionably the victory he’s most known for.

Now is it possible that maybe the UFC was using an older highlight reel? That was put together prior to 2016? Sure. But, you would think running footage of Diaz’s win over McGregor would be a great way to spike interest for his August 17th scrap with Anthony Pettis.

All this said, it’s still a pretty cool highlight reel right?
