Taylor Swift Reveals Plans to Get Political With New Left-Wing Music

For many years, Taylor Swift was one of the few celebrities who actually kept her mouth shut about politics, which was something that many of her fans found to be refreshing. Unfortunately, Swift ended up alienating a large portion of her fanbase at the end of 2018 when she “came out” as a Democrat so that she could endorse the Democratic opponent of Marsha Blackburn in the Tennessee senate race.

Now, Swift has angered her conservative fans once again by revealing that she plans to get even more political with her upcoming new music, saying that she is hoping to use her songs to spread liberal politics.

“I definitely think there are political undertones in the new music I made,” Swift said, according to Fox News. “I’m not planning to stop encouraging young people to vote and to try to get them to talk about what’s going on in our country. I think that’s one of the most important things I could do.”

This comes months after Swift revealed herself to be a Democrat with a scathing indictment of Blackburn, who went on to win the election handily.

“As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn,” Swift said at the time. “Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values.”

It’s incredibly disappointing to see that Swift has sold out and become a liberal sheep like the rest of Hollywood. She would do well to remember that she got her start in country music, a genre that has a clear conservative majority in its fanbase. It was these conservative fans who got Swift to where she is today, and they are not going to like it if her music becomes nothing more than a platform to lecture the world about how great Democrats are. That’s why Swift should take a page out of her old playbook and keep her mouth shut about politics once again.
