Monday Night Raw: 8 pm EST

Show opens up and Money In The Bank winner Brock Lesnar comes out to the ring with his advocate Paul Heyman. Heyman talks about how everybody is throwing around their conspiracy theories regarding Lesnar’s last minute involvement in the MITB match. Heyman says the conspiracy theorists give Lesnar too much credit. It wasn’t some elaborate plan to remove Sami Zayn and take his spot. The Beast simply capitalized on an opportunity. Heyman then turns his sights on Universal Champion Seth Rollins.

He says Rollins is always looking over his shoulder in fear of Lesnar coming for him. Now that paranoia is completely founded, Heyman says, because Lesnar now has a contract which allows him to get a title match against Rollins any time he pleases. Rollins’ music hits and he comes out to the ring looking fierce. Rollins says he should be happy. He was in the fight of his life against AJ Styles last night and he won. But he’s not happy because he has to see Lesnar as the MITB briefcase holder.

Rollins doesn’t want Lesnar holding that contract over his head. He proposes that they have their title match tonight on Raw. The crowd chants “Yes!” Heyman tells the crowd not to encourage Rollins. Rollins may feel like the Sword of Damocles is hanging over his head, but Lesnar is going to play his game of anticipation. Heyman says Rollins can just wait patiently like everyone else. Rollins gets in Lesnar’s face and says he doesn’t have the guts to face him. Lesnar pushes Rollins and Rollins keeps talking trash.

The two men are in each other’s faces and Heyman says Rollins isn’t even worthy of facing Lesnar again. How does Rollins know Lesnar will even cash in the briefcase against him? Maybe Lesnar will decide to face WWE Champion Kofi Kingston instead. At this, Kofi Kingston’s music hits and out comes the other world champion. Kofi says he’s not trying to come out and steal Rollins’ thunder, but he wants to establish his legacy. Kofi wants to be remembered as one of the best WWE Champions of all time and he can’t do that unless he faces the best.

So Kofi tells Lesnar, if he’s going to cash that briefcase in tonight, then he wants Lesnar to cash it in on him. Heyman says it’s very interesting to see the two world champions both auditioning to face the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. Heyman adds that he has inside word that the two champs are not done tonight, and the MITB winner isn’t going anywhere. The Beast is yet to come, says Heyman. And with that, Lesnar and Heyman take their leave as Kofi and Rollins look on.

Mick Foley comes out to introduce the new championship title belt. It’s called the 24/7 championship, and as the name implies, it is on the line anytime, any place. This is similar to when Crash Holly held the Hardcore Championship during the Attitude Era and had to defend it at random times, whenever somebody came out of the woodwork to attack him for it. Foley lays the belt in the ring and says the title is on the line right now. The bell will ring and the first man to come out and retrieve it will be champ.

The bell rings and a bunch of guys start running out. After quite a mad scramble, Titus O’Neil ends up grabbing the belt and making off with it up the aisle. After the match, MITB winner Brock Lesnar’s music hits and he comes down to ringside with a steel chair in hand. Which champ is he going to pick? He steps up on the apron, and almost steps through the ropes, but then he turns around and then leaves. Heyman says The Beast is in their heads, right where he wants to be.
