Women Titles Being Unified? + Goldust Says Goodbye To WWE

– Becky Lynch captured the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships in the headliner of WrestleMania 35. Since the historic win, Becky has been appearing on RAW and SmackDown. According to Mike Johnson during PW Insider Elite, WWE has no plans to unify the titles.

Seeing how the storylines have played out on TV since WrestleMania, it appears Lacey Evans will get the first crack at some gold. She earned that title shot by defeating Natalya last week on RAW and WWE has been high on the superstar since she was called up from NXT a few months ago. Charlotte Flair could also be another challenger since Becky never pinned her to win the titles. As for Ronda Rousey, she is taking a hiatus to fix an injured hand and she is also working on having a baby.

– Over the weekend, it was reveled that Dustin Rhodes (known to wrestling fans as Goldust) requested and was granted his WWE release. Shortly after, All Elite Wrestling confirmed a battle of brothers as Dustin takes on his younger brother Cody at Double Or Nothing.

Rhodes has worked on and off with WWE since 1990. In 1995, he debuted Goldust; which was one of the most bizarre characters in WWE history and it really clicked with fans. Some compare NXT’s Velveteen Dream to a modern Goldust. Rhodes’ final run with WWE started in 2013. His last major appearance was lasting 10 minutes during the Greatest Royal Rumble Match in April 2018 as months later he underwent surgery on both knees.
