Two-time heavyweight champion and mixed martial arts icon Frank Mir has today joined Final Fight Championship as part of the commentary team.

Mir; who’s professional career has spanned nearly eighteen years, has competed at the highest level of the sport and holds victories over Mirko Cro Cop, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Brock Lesnar. Mir became the first mixed martial artist to be inducted into the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.

Frank said: “I’m delighted to be joining Final Fight Championship. The promotion is making a splash in Las Vegas and I can’t wait to call fights across multiple disciplines”.

Frank continued: “As a combat sports fanatic, being able to watch MMA, boxing and kickboxing in the same venue, on the same night is a dream for fans”.

Mir: “As a proud lifelong resident of Las Vegas… It’s about time that this great city, steeped in combat sports history finally got a promotion to call its own”

Frank joins fellow sporting legend Joe “Daddy” Stevenson in the Fight Dome commentary booth and will bring a vast wealth of knowledge to the broadcast. Stevenson’s career spanned over seventeen years before retiring in 2017. Stevenson holds victories over Nate Diaz, Melvin Guillard and won the second season of “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2005.

The new all-star commentary team will make their debut on FFC 36 on May 9th at the Fight Dome at the Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas.
