Actress Lori Loughlin and Husband Say They’re Not Guilty In College Admissions Scandal

Former “Fuller House” actress Lori Loughlin and her designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, decided to roll the dice and entered pleas of not guilty to a Boston court Monday in the college admissions scandal case.

Neither Loughlin nor Giannulli appeared in court for the arraignment.

After refusing to take a plea deal last week, like fellow actress Felicity Huffman, Loughlin and Gianulli were hit with heavier charges on Thursday, which includes money laundering now.

While the not guilty plea is their right as Americans, it definitely does the couple’s image in the public no favors after court documents that have been made public show the federal prosecutors are in possession of emails between the scam’s ring leader, Richard Singer, Loughlin, and Giannulli.

“We just met with [our older daughter’s] college counselor this am,” Gianulli allegedly wrote in the email. “I’d like to maybe sit with you after your session with the girls as I have some concerns and want to fully understand the game plan and make sure we have a roadmap for success as it relates to [our daughter] and getting her into a school other than ASU!”

So far, the couple and their daughters have remained quiet about the scandal, and 19-year-old daughter Olivia Jade was reportedly out drinking with friends recently.

What could this mean for the couple and their kids?

By pleading not guilty, the couple is certainly signing up for some hefty legal bills — which they ostensibly can afford, seeing as they forked over $500K to get their girls into USC — even if they are legally exonerated.

If their gamble doesn’t pay off and one or both of the parents are found guilty, the likelihood that the prosecution will seek some form of significant jail time is almost a foregone conclusion.

In the meantime, Loughlin’s expulsion from Hollywood is seemingly complete as she was already dropped by the Hallmark Channel and Netflix’s “Fuller House” series. Of course, their daughter’s are still young and haven’t yet established themselves in any career — Olivia Jade‘s budding beauty influencer gig is also in shambles as part of the fallout. Hopefully, Loughlin and Giannulli at least feel some guilt and responsibility for what their actions caused their young adult children.
