We are only weeks away from WrestleMania 35 and WWE usually adds some surprise names from the past. This year looks to be no different as Hulk Hogan should have a role and PWInsider reports that WWE wants to bring in “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

As for Austin’s role, that has not been decided as both sides are still talking about making an appearance happen.

Austin appeared at WrestleMania 32 alongside fellow WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley. They did a segemnt where the legends attacked the League of Nations following their win over New Day. Then New Day did some dancing, which was of course followed by Austin chugging  beer and landing some stunners.

As for Austin’s last appearance on WWE TV, that was RAW 25. Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon opened the historic show before Austin headed to the ring. In typical Austin fashion, Vince and Shane ate some stunners.

Even if Austin has a small role at WrestleMania 35, his presence alone would get a major pop. It just shows how Austin is still a draw; despite retiring about 16 years ago.

– During The Authors of Pain run in NXT, they were managed by WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering and found success by winning tag team gold. Upon debuting on the RAW roster, Ellering was removed and 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick would eventually take his spot.

During The List & Ya Boy, Sean Ross Sapp stated that several people pitched for Stokely Hathaway to get that role. At the time, Hathaway was not under contract with WWE. That has changed, as Hathaway was recently revealed as the newest addition to WWE’s Performance Center.

With Akam out due to a knee injury, there has been little presence felt by his partner Rezar. WWE is waiting for the Akam to fully heal and then bring AOP back to TV.
