Earlier today stories about Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic possibly fighting were blazing across the internet, but as it turns out (and not surprisingly), “Bones” has reportedly agreed to face Thiago Santos next.
Since Jones and Miocic teased a showdown for this summer, Dana White has reportedly told ESPN that Jones and Santos have agreed to battle at UFC 239, July 6th. In addition, the story says that featherweight and bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes will defend the 135 title against Holly Holm at the event.
Both of the fights are reportedly, verbally agreed to.
So, there you have it. The UFC’s International Fight Week card is historically a big one, and now it looks like it has two championship fights set for it.
The upcoming event will be hosted by T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
